The Project

The Cloud Children’s Choir has grown rapidly since its founding in 2022 — developing from a small chamber ensemble into a large choral organisation spanning children, youth and adult ensembles.

But its digital presence had not grown at the same pace. The existing website contained the essential information, but no longer fully represented the scale, ambition or identity of The Cloud today.

NexStudio set out to turn the website from an information page into an experience — one that feels like The Cloud itself: expressive, ambitious and alive.

The Challenge

The Cloud is more than a single children’s choir. It includes multiple ensemble levels, different age groups, several rehearsal locations, international achievements, major performances and a growing community of singers.

Visitors needed to understand what The Cloud is, where a child could fit within it, and why they should join — while the website communicated the energy of hundreds of voices performing together.

How do you make a choir feel alive on a screen?

Where Voices Inspire

We rebuilt the experience around progression, performance and belonging.

The new opening — ‘Where Voices Inspire’ — establishes an emotional identity before organisational information. Large-scale imagery, expressive typography and restrained motion create a cinematic introduction.

The result gives visitors the feeling of The Cloud before asking them to read about it.

A place for singers to grow, perform, and belong.

Turning Growth Into a Story

Rather than hiding The Cloud’s history inside an About page, we made it a central part of the experience.

The redesigned Our Journey section turns major milestones into a visual timeline — from the choir’s beginnings in 2022 through national performances, international competitions, cultural collaborations and awards.

Visitors can see that growth rather than simply being told about it.

12 singers became a community of hundreds.

Making a Complex Choir System Simple

The new website presents the choir structure as a clear progression. Instead of requiring families to interpret multiple pages of programme information, the pathway can now be understood in seconds.

Performance First

A performing arts organisation should not feel static. Photography became one of the site’s primary storytelling tools.

Rather than using imagery simply as decoration, the gallery captures performances, competitions, rehearsals, international travel, backstage moments, cultural collaborations and relationships between singers.

The website becomes an extension of the stage — giving visitors a sense of scale, movement and community.

Building Credibility Without Feeling Corporate

The redesigned site integrates international competitions, cultural exchange performances, collaborations and awards naturally into the organisation’s story.

Statistics provide an immediate sense of scale, while photography and storytelling keep the focus on the singers behind those numbers.

Professional enough to establish trust, human enough to feel welcoming.

Designed to Convert Interest Into Participation

The entire experience gradually moves visitors toward helping the next singer join.

Visitors can understand the organisation, explore its history, see its performers, identify the appropriate choir and then register their interest.

Discover → Trust → Find your choir → Join

The Result

The new website transforms The Cloud Children’s Choir from an organisation that happens to have a website into a brand with a genuine digital presence.

It communicates the scale of the organisation, creates a coherent pathway through its choirs, brings its history and achievements forward, and gives performance imagery the prominence it deserves.

Most importantly, it feels less like reading about a choir and more like being invited into one.

Outcome

From 12 Voices to Hundreds.

Its website now has room for what The Cloud has become — and where it is going next.

A growing community. A clear pathway. One choir family.
